Community Minds

Being part of a community can have a positive effect on mental health and wellbeing. Community involvement provides a sense of belonging and helps tackle social isolation.

Our Community Cafes provide opportunity for peer support and can bring extra meaning and purpose to everyday life. Our trained staff and volunteer team offer support, advice and information on mental health and wellbeing matters.

When and where?

Truro Community Café, The Cathedral café. The 1st, 3rd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 10.00am-12.00pm

Falmouth Community Café, Palacio Lounge. The 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month 10.30am-12.30pm

If you would like to go but feel anxious, let us know and we can try to make it a little less daunting for you.

Here are some quotes from people that attend:

It’s nice to be with friendly faces

I’m feeling less anxious than when I arrived

I’m so glad you were here to talk to today

I’m able to talk to people that understand mental health

This is really doing me good
